Welcome to Richard Buller Reports, reporting sport internationally.
What started as a hobby in November 2008 with the study of Shotokan Karate as a member of South Notts Shotokan Karate Club (Karate Union of Great Britain) and then developed into a passion for writing about my journey to Black Belt, has grown into a ‘not-for-profit’ business reporting on a growing range of sports with a world-wide following.

The blog is updated most days.
Just to clarify a number of points: it is not the business of this website to report detailed results. Our business is to put a finger on the pulse of medal-winning strategies, understand the coaching challenges by work-shadowing and interviewing the professionals charged with delivering those medals and following an individual’s sporting career where the opportunity presents itself.
Think of it as the sports reporting equivalent of Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales or Joyce’s The Dubliners. A series of pictures and stories on a life-long professional journey, which ends in world-wide recognition and international glory, sometimes and at the very least in a life well-lived.
So, who is going to do this writing?
Well, myself, mainly. Occasionally, I shall engage talented volunteer sports writers of any age. They will need to demonstrate their ability by writing a short article on the sport of their choice.
They will be responsible for writing their own column, to their own deadlines. I shall be responsible for editing and publishing.
What’s in it for them?
The joy of writing and seeing their work published.
A developing curriculum vitae which enhances their chances of professional employment at a time when one and a half million young people are unemployed.
What’s in it for Richard Buller Reports?
The satisfaction of helping others by sharing the pleasures of sports writing .
